World Class Respiratory Centre Opens in Cyprus
to benefit the Community
The new Breathing Life Lung Centre for Children 'Ανάσα για Ζωή' was officially opened at the Makarios III Hospital Nicosia by His Eminence Mr Christos Patsalides at 1pm on October 2009.
The centre has been a triumph of co-operation between The Breathing Life Trust and The Cyprus Government and gives hope to children with breathing disorders with a wish to give them strength to fight back and fulfill their lives.
The new centre;
- Provides world class facilities and training to treat child respiratory and pulmonary conditions.
- Brings together a team of experts who can advise and share their knowledge on life threatening respiratory conditions.
- Conducts ground breaking research into child pulmonary epidemiology and aetiology (disease with its causes)
- Provides teaching for the next generation of specialists.

We will soon be announcing a new exciting initiative and will be sharing progress of the new lung centre in Cyprus.
Location of The new Breathing Life Lung Centre for Children
The new lung centre is located at the Makarios III Children's Hospital, which is the referral Paediatric Centre for the whole of Cyprus.
The Ministry of Health of Cyprus have provided a space of 250 sq meters, located in a ground floor wing of the hospital.(see floor plans)
